Hall of Fame Leh Ladakh | Hall of Fame - Museum, War Memorial Leh Ladakh Hall of Fame is among top places to visit in Leh Ladakh. It was constructed to honor brave soldiers of India who sacrificed their lives defending their motherland in the Indo-Pak wars. Hall of Fame museum is a memories of great sacrifices our Indian soldiers have done. The museum is on the Leh-Kargil road 4 km from Leh city. Hall of Fame is the most Important place to pay respects to the Indian soldiers and to the families who lost their loved ones in these disputes. In the Museum, there is an area called OP Vijay Gallery, where you can see several weapons used in the Kargil War. There are also arms and ammunition taken by the Indian Army during the war of 1999. On The same floor also has another area with amazing apparel and amenities that Indian Army used in the Siachen region. Pictures here also display the army posts on this glacier, how they were accommodated, and their training process on ice walls. On ground floor - Hall of Fame has photos of Kargil War on the walls. There is a separate wall named “Lest We Forget” which showcases the images of the soldiers who laid down their lives to protect their nation. On the same floor, there is a projection room where you can see a documentary on “Operation Vijay”. “The Last Post” is a wall in this part of the floor, which has a letter written by Captain Vijayvant Tahapar to his parents days before his martyrdom. You can also buy souvenirs from the shop like t-shirts, caps, coffee mugs, and pashmina shawls. Get your photo clicked in the Ladakhi attire and get printed out at a minimal price. This will be a remembrance of your visit to this place in Leh Ladakh. The museum remains open from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
