How can conservatives win with Latinos, given the demographic reality that in many cases they can't win without them? In an age of identity politics, what are the principles and policy proposals that can form the basis of a realistic and durable conservative governing majority? How can that agenda be best articulated and expressed? Helping us answer these questions will be two political analysts, Dr. Ashleen Menchaca-Bagnulo, Assistant Professor of Political Science at Texas State University and Senior Fellow of the Austin Institute for the Study of Family and Culture, and Alfonso Aguilar, President of the Latino Partnership for Conservative Principles and former chief of the U.S. Office of Citizenship in the administration of George W. Bush. This event was hosted by the Austin Institute for the Study of Family and Culture and the Texas Public Policy Foundation. Speakers Dr. Kevin Roberts (Welcome Remarks) – Executive Director, Texas Public Policy Foundation Dr. Kevin Stuart (Introduction) – Executive Director, Austin Institute Joshua Treviño (Moderator) – Chief Innovation Officer, Texas Public Policy Foundation Dr. Ashleen Menchaca-Bagnulo (Panelist) – Assistant Professor of Political Science, Texas State University Alfonso Aguilar (Panelist) – President, Latino Partnership for Conservative Principles
