Continuing Revelation | Beyond the Walls | OCT 26 2025

Did God stop communicating with humanity in ancient times? Did revelation end when the New Testament was completed? The principle of Continuing Revelation affirms that God still reveals truth today, just as in the past—calling all people, not only a chosen few, to bear witness to truth. As Jesus teaches in the Gospel of John, this truth is revealed to us through the Spirit. Scripture is an inspired and indispensable witness of human response to God’s revelation of divine nature. In the Gospel of John 15:26-27, Jesus talks about the coming of “the Spirit of truth” as “the Advocate” who testifies of Christ, calling on all of us as disciples to receive revelation to testify to that same truth. God graciously continues to reveal divine will today as in the past, as the Holy Spirit inspires and provides witness to divine truth. In humility, we continue to share God's ongoing revelation with our community and the world. This Sunday we explore the meaning of Continuing Revelation. How can we open ourselves to the presence of the Spirit amid the noise of daily life? How do we find moments of inner stillness in a world buzzing with information and misinformation? And how can we discern the difference between truth revealed by the Spirit and the echo of our own assumptions and biases? Beyond the Walls – Continuing Revelation.
