How to deadlift properly? Good question. The deadlift is an integral movement in our daily lives. From sumo deadlift to conventional deadlift- to picking up laundry baskets, picking up your kid the right way, and lifting boxes--- we need good deadlift form. I was there once. I approached the bar, looked at it, and asked myself "how do I deadlift?". Years later, I attempted sumo... but gave up on it after a few months. This deadlift tutorial is great for beginners to learn the movement, and for intermediate/advanced lifters to be reminded of the fundamentals of the deadlift. I cover two advanced deadlifting techniques- bracing and wedging. Both of these are imperative for a strong deadlift. Finally, I go into strength verse leverage and how to balance the two for ultimate performance. Because, guess what? Your strongest position doesn't always allow you to move the most weight.
