Discover the Hidden Gems of Half Moon Bay Beaches!

In this episode of Roadtrips we will be visiting 3 Half Moon Bay Beaches. Francis Beach, Pillar Point, and Moss Beach. Francis Beach is the best for camping and features RV overnight parking with hookups, camping areas for tents, and a picnic area that is ideal for day trip parties or BBQ. There is ample parking, bathrooms and the beach is very close to the camping area. The town of Half Moon Bay is also walkable distance. Pillar Point is the location of Mavericks Beach as well as picturesque views of the Pillar Point Harbor and Marina. Pillar Point is best for hiking and experiencing nature. The downside to Pillar Point is, if you walk out to Mavericks Beach, it is a 10 to 15 minute hike, and there are no bathrooms at the beach. The closest bathrooms are back at the parking lot. The Pillar Point Harbor is also packed with some really good places to eat. Sam's Chowder House, Ketch, and La Costanera, which is a Michelin rated restaurant. Moss Beach is located a short distance from Pillar Point. Moss Beach is best for hiking and experiencing the wildlife and tide pools. The Cypress Tree Tunnel is a short distance from the parking lot, and personal opinion, one of the wonders of the world. It is a must see.
