Did you know Autoliv launched the first seatbelt in 1956? Since then, we have come a long way. As our seatbelts evolved so did our vision. We started to develop airbags in the 1980s and now offer complete airbag systems in and around the vehicle. But that is just the beginning. We link passive safety with active safety. We design state-of-the-art safety systems that prevent accidents from happening. Every year we save 30,000 lives and prevent more than 10 x as many severe injuries. But that isn't good enough.
