Known for his exemplary service and fearless leadership, Dr. Ravi Kumar has had a distinguished career spanning multiple high-profile assignments. He has served as Superintendent of Police (SP) in districts like Bidar, Udupi, Dharwad, and Chitradurga, where his efforts in maintaining law and order earned widespread recognition. As Police Commissioner in Kalaburagi, Dr. Ravi Kumar implemented significant reforms to enhance public safety and streamline police operations. His tenure with the State Intelligence Department further demonstrated his ability to handle complex security challenges with tact and precision. Widely regarded as one of the bravest and most dedicated IPS officers, Dr. Ravi Kumar brings unmatched expertise and a strategic vision to his new role as IGP.
