Strengthening MNCH Using Data: GGHN Participates in High-Level KASSEP Meeting Hosted by Emir of Kano

On January 13th 2025, Georgetown Global Health Nigeria (GGHN) was honored to attend the Kano State Surveillance for Evidence and Policy (KASSEP) Technical Meeting, held at Bayero University Kano and hosted by the Africa Centre of Excellence for Population Health and Policy (ACEPHAP), at the invitation of His Royal Highness, Khalifa Muhammad Sanusi II, PhD, Emir of Kano. The meeting brought together key stakeholders and thought leaders to explore how real-time data and strategic collaboration can improve maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH) outcomes in Kano State. GGHN’s Chief Technical Officer, Mercy Piring’ar, presented our work and progress in MNCH, while participants also gained insights from leading voices including Prof. Hadiza Galadanci, Dr. Iman Warshu, Prof. Baba Maiyaki Musa, and others.
