Saturday Night Fever Disco Line Dance Choreographed by: Maggie Cadwell – see Note* Description: 40 Count 4 wall Music: Anything Disco'ish like Staying Alive; Celebration; Shake Your Booty; Love Train, Boogie Shoes, *Note: There are some slight variations on this dance so this step sheet is based on how it was taught by our buddy, Walter, and as shown in the movie WALK BACK, WALK FORWARD 1-4 Walk back (R-L-R, Touch left heel forward, angling body back with clap) 5-8 Walk forward (L-R-L, Touch right toe next to left with clap) Option for count 8: Touch right toe to side pointing right finger up to right Rolling Vine Right & Rolling Vine Left 1-4 Rolling Vine Right (R-L-R-L touch with clap) 5-8 Rolling Vine Left (L-R-L-R touch with clap) KICK BALL CHANGE X2, HIP SWAYS (SKATES) 1&2 Kick Right foot across Left foot, Step right, Step left 3&4 Kick Right foot across Left foot, Step right, Step left 5-8 Small Steps (R-L-R-L) while bumping hips Option for counts 5-8: during hip sways, push hands down in time with hips Do the John Travolta (Finger Points) 1-2 Point right finger up to right, Point right finger down to left hip 3-8 Repeat 1-2 (finger points) three more times. Option: while doing finger points, do alternate hip bumps (e.g., while pointing right finger up to the right, bump left hip to the left) HAND ROLL, DOROTHY STEP, HEEL-TOE TOUCH, HEEL TOUCH 1/4 TURN LEFT WITH HITCH 1&2& Roll fists around each other 3&4& Weight is on balls of both feet while quickly tapping heels out-in-out-in 5-6 Touch right heel forward, Touch right toe back 7-8 Touch right heel forward, With weight on ball of left foot pivot turn ¼ left while hitching right knee If doing this as a one wall, omit 1/4 turn left Option for counts 3&4: during Dorothy Step, push elbows out-in-out-in to match Dorothy steps REPEAT
