Headline: Is our religion a bridge or a roadblock? What happens when the people who claim to represent God become the primary reason the world rejects Him? In this study of Romans 2:17-24, we step into the "High Places"—the pulpits, the political platforms, and the pews—where the Name of God is often used as a badge of privilege rather than a catalyst for transformation. "Hypocrisy in High Places" is a diagnostic look at the "Bible-Believer’s" greatest danger: the delusion that knowing the truth is the same as possessing it. As we celebrate Black History Month and navigate a volatile political climate, we have to face the historical and modern "receipts" of our witness. From the "Christian" justifications of the past to the political misrepresentations of the present, the question remains: Is our life a bad review of our Creator? In this sermon, we explore: The False Security of the Insider: Why the most "religious" people are often the hardest to reach. The Selective Mirror: Why we are outraged by the "sins of the culture" while ignoring the rot in our own house. The Reputation of the King: How our hypocrisy causes the Name of God to be "blasphemed among the nations" (v. 24). It’s time to stop using the Word of God as a weapon against others and start using it as a mirror for ourselves. Join us to discover why the Gospel isn't about being "right"—it's about being real. #Romans2 #HypocrisyInHighPlaces #BlackHistoryMonth #ChristianIntegrity #SermonSeries #FaithAndPolitics
