My thermostat broke, so I decided to piece together a low cost, easy system that you can build at home. Instead of using a NEST or Honeywell product, this DIY Thermostat is based on an ESP32 microcontroller and has wifi functionality built in! This will allow you to set the temperature with a smart phone, or any device on your wifi network that can use a web browser.
