What you're searching for is a hi-lift dye (a dye that turns dark hair a bright color without pre-bleaching). The only hi-lift dye I've seen for a crazy hair color is Loreal Hicolor Hilights in "Red". I have never seen a hi-lift dye in purple or blue. Basically, if you want bright purple or blue hair, you have to lighten your dark hair first. 13.) How do I get the same purple color with Manic Panic or Directions? I'm not sure, because I've never made this color with those brands. However, I can look at the color swatches and make an educated guess: Manic Panic: Mix "Purple Haze" and "Ultra Violet" Directions: Mix "Plum" and "Violet". Obviously, I can't guarantee that these combinations will make the same purple color. So take my word with a grain of salt. x)
