ACS Symposiums are made possible by the generosity of our supporters. Your donation helps us keep these conversations going. Please consider giving today: https://www.cannaspecialists.org/donate Hosted by the Association of Cannabinoid Specialists (ACS) as part of their student education series, this symposium focuses on the use of cannabis for sexual health. The event's main speakers include Dr. Jordan Tishler, President of ACS, Vice President of the Female Orgasm Research Institute, and a cannabinoid specialist; and Suzanne Mulvehill, a clinical sexologist, President of the Female Orgasm Research Institute, and PhD candidate researching female orgasm difficulty. Dr. Tishler discusses the historical perspective and current understanding of sexual dysfunction and the potential benefits of cannabis in mitigating these issues for both men and women. He emphasizes that cannabis can enhance women's sexual experiences across all phases—desire, arousal, orgasm, and satisfaction. Suzanne Mulvehill then presents her research on cannabis's effectiveness in treating female orgasm disorders (FOD). Her study, which included 387 women, found that cannabis significantly increased orgasm frequency, ease, and satisfaction, especially among women with orgasm difficulties. The findings suggest that cannabis could be a viable treatment for FOD and highlight the need for further research and policy changes to recognize cannabis as a treatment for sexual dysfunction. The speakers conclude with a Q&A session addressing topics like dosage, consumption methods, tolerance, and future research directions.
