More new trains are out and running on the network! Bombardier who build the 'Aventra' family of trains have supplied some in the form of Class 720's to run on Greater Anglia. The first units are now in service running between Liverpool Street and Southend Victoria, so I went to take a trip on one ... Accessibility note - whilst they had TWO excellent large accessible space on the trains (and toilet) they don't have level boarding like the Stadler units to, manual boarding ramps are still required. Eventually, these types of trains 720's will be in service on route Witham - Braintree, Hertford East - Cambride - Kings Lynn, Wickford - Southend - Southminster, Colchester - Clacton on Sea - Walton on the Naze, Manningtree - Harwich, Ipswich - Stowmarket - Norwich.
