Del Zamora stars in this mini-series, Saints & Strangers, for the National Geographic Channel. Del is half Mescalero Apache. He portrays Nauset Sachem (Chief), ASPINET of the Nauset Nation, in the show. Aspinet is the first to spot the Mayflower, as it anchors near Cape Cod, where his tribe Summers. Aspinet is quick to suggest attacking the Pilgrims, as Captain Cook, had already captured and enslaved some of his tribe before. This was a 4 part mini-series, that was shot for 2 months in South Africa. Critically hailed by critics and First Nations peoples, this is the best telling of the Mayflower and the repercussions of their coming to the new world. This story tells the story in a more balanced manner. All of the scenes, that Del is in, are spoken in Western Abenaki, with subtitles. This was a great challenge for the First Nation's actors, who had to learn all of their lines in Western Abenaki. Del relished this challenge and did top shelf work, as Aspinet.
