Pakistan SPH spotted at LoC In 2019, Pakistan signed a contract with China North Industries Group Corporation Limited (Norinco) to deliver 236 SH-15 155 mm/52 calibre wheeled self-propelled howitzer (SPH). The SH-15 is an export designation of the PCL-181 155 mm wheeled SPH produced by Norinco. The first batch of SPH was delivered in January 2022. On 23 March 2022, the Pakistan Army has unveiled its SH-15 howitzer during the Pakistan Day parade. In April 2023, China North Industries Group Corporation Limited (Norinco) delivered the second batch of SH-15 155 mm/52 calibre wheeled self-propelled howitzer (SPH) to the Pakistan Army. As per recent report from PTI, SH-15 howitzers of Pakistan Army has also been spotted at some places along the Line of Control (LoC). China’s military assistance to Pakistan China has been helping the Pakistan Army build its defence infrastructure besides providing Unmanned Aerial and Combat Aerial Vehicles, setting up communication towers and laying underground cables along the Line of Control.
