This video covers installation of new filter capacitors as well as a new bias capacitor on a 1974 Hiwatt DR103 amplifier that i bought for $1000 in 2019, including what was previously modded and what will need to be ordered and replaced to bring the amp back to a stock condition. This series will cover the repair and restoration of this amp including topics such as testing an output transformer, replacing the output transformer, filter capacitors, tubes, and returning to the circuit to stock. We will also look into and install a voltage doubler circuit for the bias supply if necessary.
