[Report] 5th anniversary of Sewol ferry sinking in South Korea

This is the KOREA NOW feature report about the aftermath of the deadly Sewol ferry disaster. Five years has passed since the accident that killed 304 out of 476 passengers. #sewolferry #sewolferrydisaster #sewolferrytragedy The sinking of the 6800-ton MV took place in the waters near Jindo Island on the southwestern coast of the Korean Peninsula on April 16, 2014. After the tragedy, Koreans dedicated yellow ribbon to the victims and their bereaved families as a token of support and condolence. #세월호 #세월호침몰 #세월호5주기 KOREA NOW team visited two places, Paengmok Port and Mokpo Harbor, that are deeply involved with the Sewol ferry tragedy. Paengmok Port was the base of rescue operation in the time of disaster. After 1,091 days, the sunken ferry was salvaged and brought to the Mokpo Harbor for preservation. Related articles: S.
