Solo trip🫡 Port Canaveral FL jetty fishing, Hobie outback kayak. Slot Snook Vlog123

Last Day of February. Feb 28th, 2025 Usually, February is the toughest month of the year for me when it comes to fishing here on the Space Coast of Florida. 😏 Let's see if we can end the month on a good note.🤔 Thanks to some information passed on to me from my buddy KO fishing. I headed out to Post Canaveral to see if I could finally get on some fish that would pull some drag and give me a good fight.🤞 I went to inshore kayak fish River breeze in Oak Hill the day before this....was an absolutely beautiful day, but i just couldn't even get a nipple. It didn't help that i had a dolphin following me most of the morning. I ended up calling it day after 3 hours as my hips started to act up, and i had pins and needles in my legs and feet. I almost didn't go to the Port the night before. i was trying to rest up and ice my hips...but they hurt pretty bad. But then I heard from KO fishing and his epic day. And i saw my weather report said little to no wind at the post and a beautiful sunny spring break kind of day. So i said F it....lets get up in the early am and try it I woke up with a slight limp at 445am. and headed to the port. Picked up some bait and got to the boat ramp..... ummm 🤔 all ready. i was saying WTF is way windier than the report says. But I'm here, and it's not super bad...so let's send it. I headed to the North jetty on my Hobie Outback kayak, and despite getting blow around all over, i managed to stay in place and do amazingly well. 1st Slot and PB snook. 29.5 a 27" right after that and a total of 5 snook...5 Jacks...1 Redfish...1 Black drum....and one monster ladyfish. With wind, i had to be paddling constantly.....and my blood sugar monitor for my type one diabetes stopped working. So I was hurting, i couldn't check my blood sugar, and the conditions kept getting worse... So even though i was having one of the best days fishing in a while...I headed in. The next day at home typing this and i can barely walk. My hips hurt so bad😫.... Probably wasn't smart to push it 2 days with my hips like that....but 100% worth it, and I would do it again,😆 ......
