How can we develop the leadership skills of the teachers and how can we improve the school team environment in just one year? How can we make each classroom an inclusive one and teach according to the needs and interests of all children? How can we be sure that the school environment is safe and secure for children? How can we involve parents as partners of the school team? We have found the answers to these and many other similar questions with 15 partner schools in Bulgaria working with the One School for All Program. The program is implemented in two phases in the period 2014-2019 with the support of the America for Bulgaria Foundation. During its first phase, we’ve created the first Bulgarian Model for building an inclusive school environment or shortly – “One School for All” Model. The model is a way of work in order to achieve: managing of the school resources and processes by achieving a shared understanding of the direction of change and coordinating the team efforts to achieve that change; change in the attitudes towards classroom diversity and inclusive education; more active and full participation of all the members of the school community; focused team work in the following key areas of school life: (1) school management, (2) teaching practices, (3) child protection and (4) partnership with parents.
