Hi, the video is very crude and there is for sure no Teleprompter in use with us here...But it does show two ways to quickly and effectively patch Damaged Legacy Fabric Types (Cloth & Paint, Rag&Dope, The usual stuff...). Many pilots use Duct Tape to execute field repairs during bush operations, but duct tape is not UV proof and since about a year its not even appreciated as a temporary-get-home-fix by the FAA. Our "Oratex Special" sticky-glue-backing material was initially designed to apply markings very quick and easy to our Oratex covered airplanes, just as a decal-or-vinyl-like material to avoid the need to paint. Its designed to stick to our Oratex-surfaces but it does stick to any painted (etc) surface just as well. A very versatile variation of our material. Of course patching fabric with our normal glue and fabric works just as well, as shown in the video, too. For most folks in the continental USA the looks of this plane here might seem hideous, but for being an fabric covered plane in ALASKA its Very very Normal ! - The extremely long sunny summer days, the Extremely clear winter sky that is sunny'er than most outsiders think, the drastic temperature changes, it all takes a harsh toll on the looks of a fabric covered plane. As the plane is ALWAYS tied down outside and never stays in any hangar, its a pretty good example of hard working bush planes up here...To us here the looks matter less, being RELIABLE is what counts... BTW: Isn't it nice that you can watch our videos without waiting for the ad to go away and without having to put up with ads that keep popping onto the screen? Please make the effort to like our videos if you do, would be nice.
