Since its founding in 2022, Indigenous Grooves has quickly become a key showcase for Indigenous women artists across genres, and features a mixed program of DJs, electronic music artists, traditional and modern singers and dancers, as well as a popular arts market featuring 10 Indigenous women vendors. And for the first time, this year’s program will also feature short films highlighting the activism and community work of inspiring Indigenous women. Indigenous Grooves is curated by performing artists Cotee Harper, Rosary Spence and Tamar Ilana, and this year they’ve put together an all-new line-up that embraces the power and diversity of Turtle Island’s Indigenous women’s voices.
