Sounds From the City Episode 17 - Crunked at the Dirty House

Crunked is a Miami based grunge/ hardcore band who came together December of 2024. They played the “Last Dance” event at “The Dirty House”, a single family home nestled in a residential community in Cutler Bay. Crunked played along with a long list of bands, DJs, noise artists and vendors. The post Chirstmas celebration marked the end of an era for the “Dirty Booking” crew who had been throwing house parties at this suburban musical haven for a year.   Crunked blasted sonic might into the dimly lit living room stage. The band is made up of Nick on guitar & vocals, Elijah on guitar & vocals, Logan on  bass & vocals, and Andrew on drums. A vibe reminiscent of the Seattle grunge scene of the early 90’s, this video features their opener and original tune “Bag of Hammers”. The tune starts out with Nick and Elijah’s droning guitars, dueling until Andrew eases into a drum fill teamed with Logan’s bass and subdued vocals. Eventually they kick it up a notch with heavier hits &  screams until the vibe relaxes then swells again. Ultimately Logan abandons the microphone to join the pit, bass attached and all. The performance was a momentous way to say goodbye to the woebegone venue.  Crunked perform tonight at Tea and Poets at Sunset Place.  @crunked.sfl @dirty.booking
