Akecheta is working on a huge copper rockfish head that he brought to the nest. WE3 is in a good position and takes the initiative to climb out of the nest bowl closer to Dad to get fed! WE3 is rewarded and gets fed first from the rockfish. Chet will offer a few bites to WE2 too. Chet works hard on this fish, eating the bones, skin & cartilage - this fish head was most likely thrown overboard by a fishing boat and Akecheta grabbed it. Thunder flies in with what looked like another copper rockfish head - she flies off the nest with it. All three eaglets are doing well and are thriving! Thank you for watching! Video captured & edited by Lady Hawk ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Nest info: Eaglets WE1, hatch 3/9 -3am; WE2, hatch 3/9 -7pm; WE3, 3/12 hatch by 4:10am; Thunder (F) 15 yrs old; Akecheta (M) (wing tag 61) 8 yrs old.
