This was my very 1st flight on the Run and Fly by Dudek. Actually recorded in the summer of 2019 but couldn't sleep last night so I made a quick edit. Pilot: Me Flying weight : 170-ish lbs. Wing: Dudek Run and Fly Size: 16m Harness: Dudek Zako speed harness Impressions: Although this wing is not officially rated, it flies and handles like an A wing. Just a breath of wind will inflate it and keep it over head easily. Just make sure you take a peek at it before you launch because it tends to big ear on inflation sometimes, but a few quick, short pumps on the brakes clears them every time. It's so stable you can kite it hands free and I can't think of a single time it even tried overshoot me on inflation. In the air it feels like a student glider even though I am on the heavy side of wing loading for a 16 meter, but still playful enough to make some fun turns. But the thing that still blows my mind about this wing is how nice the flare is! Every other single surface wing I have flown has quirky flare characteristics, at best. But this one feels just like a traditional full sized paraglider. Pairing it with the Dudek Zako harness, which has everything you need, and nothing you don't, makes this the perfect kit for those one-way sunset hikes. And if you get up to launch and its not flyable, you aren't packing a heavy full sized kit back down the hill which makes it that much easier to make the safe decision to walk back down if conditions are less than ideal. It is considered a descent wing, but as you can see from the video it is surprisingly efficient and has enough lift that I was able to scratch back to the top of the ridge even after making some steeper turns. I could have stayed up as long as I wanted in those conditions but sun was setting so it was time to land and have some beverages with the crew after an epic session of frolicking with the deer and soaring with the eagles. Here's to smooth air and soft landings!
