Welcome to the Wednesday afternoon edition of Schony747 trains. This video features track side action from Gheringhap here in Victoria. Gheringhap is located just outside the provincial city of Geelong and is at the junction for the Standard Gauge running west towards the South Australian border and the broad gauge line towards Ballarat and Northern Victoria. There is very little broad gauge traffic but plenty of standard gauge traffic to keep you entertained. The dual gauge track layout at Gheringhap is also a refueling point for grain train locomotives heading to the wheat belt in Victoria's west. There is one highlight - the broad gauge is the SSR Metro Trains Alstom Xtrapolis Broad Gauge Train transfer to Alstom at Ballarat.
