Vat Phou Temple, Champasak, Laos - BeautyLovesTech During our Southern travels in Laos we stopped to visit the famous ruined Khmer Hindu temple, Vat Phou. About 28 miles (45km) South of Pakse Laos. 448 miles (721km) South of Vientiane, Laos. In the Champasak province. Once again we had to cross the Mekong River on a car ferry with dirt roads down to the ferry that were steep, soft and quite scary. They place 2 boards from the dirt to the ferry, and you're suppose to carefully drive across them to board the ferry (without falling off the boards and ruining your car).
