Moto Guzzi has launched its new Stelvio adventure tourer, the second model built on its new 1042cc platform following the V100 Mandello sports tourer that launched last year, and distinguished by long-distance ergonomics and light-off-road capabilities. The bike is priced from $32,890 rideaway in Australia, the same price as the V100 Mandello in its high-spec S variant. The Moto Guzzi Stelvio builds upon the V100 Mandello with touring comforts like longer travel suspension, a taller windscreen, revised handlebars and riding position, a 19-inch front wheel (up 2-in) and a 21-litre fuel tank (up 4L). While in keeping with the new platform’s design language, the Stelvio sees revised bodywork and much larger rider and pillion seats, also aiding its long-distance credentials. Notably, the Stelvio misses out on the adaptive aero flaps and Ohlins electronic suspension that is available on the range-topping Mandello sports tourer. Other key specifications include Michelin Anakee dual-sport tyres, expansive luggage options and revised rider mode settings. The Moto Guzzi Stelvio is motivated by the same 1042cc twin-cylinder engine with shaft drive as the Mandello, outputting 84kW and 104Nm.
