0:00 - Babies First (Merciless) Restriction - Normal/Uber only As I'm sure you all remember, this stage was a complete joke the first time around. No need to worry, right? Ok you saw the restriction. I should mention that the original stage was only so easy because of the oversight involving Bahamut. Now, you're stuck with only Normals and whatever Ubers you have. Being forced to fight Doremi with only the basic Cats without any form of cheese whatsoever is absolutely brutal. If Heinous Road wasn't so absurd, I would say this stage is the hardest in the game without Ubers. You might have noticed that I didn't bother with no uber this time too. This is not because I would be unable to do the strategy for no ubers, but because I do not have maxed normals or True Superfeline on this account. Yes, True Superfeline. If you don't have True Superfeline, just use whatever Ubers that will be useful here. Starting off, just use Islands to take out the starting wave, then use either Breakerblast or Sniper to finish off the 1 HP Alpacky. Wait for max wallet, then make sure you send Jamiera a bit before spamming all your normals. You want to have as much of an offensive force directly at the front by the time Jamiera reaches the enemy base. From there, try to interrupt Doremi with the Sniper (pay attention to the timing) and try to take out at least half of her HP by pinning her to the base. Use your Breakerblast to interrupt Kurosawah. You'll likely not defeat Doremi at the enemy base, so lure her to your base for a second offensive push. Doremi dying means you win the stage. Ok I also want to mention that this introduces the Base Barrier mechanic. A stage with a Base Barrier will have the base be completely invincible until the enemy set as the boss of the stage is defeated. No, Barrier Breaker does not work against it. It's just an anti-cheese mechanic. For this reason, I will refer to it as KFC. Its 280 range was not bad, but combined with its LD area of 250-500, that left it pretty much always missing enemies right in front of it. Combined with extremely low HP, an extremely niche ability, and single target attacks, it was left pretty much exclusively as a non-uber option for Big Peng Z. KFC fixes several problems with the unit, doubling its HP to a very strong level, increasing the standing range which in turn fixes the blindspot problem, Relic targeting to expand its niche, Zombie Killer to make it a complete anti-Zombie, and best of all, Area Attacks. Area attacks transform this unit from subpar to fantastic, and while Curse is still niche, its previously mid DPS for a single target unit makes it an exceptionally strong area LD unit. To give perspective of how good its DPS is, this DPS is slightly lower than Housewife with full Savage Blow talents and Fiend Cat. For a unit with lower cooldown than Housewife and significantly higher HP than either, this is very nice. As a Rare unit, this means it's usable in 4-star restrictions as well. So how does it actually perform? Well, it's definitely a lot better! However, Curse is still niche in endgame. Although it would normally be revolutionary against Relics, Uril's TF already fills the role much better. Notably though, KFC is very good against Warping Star Aliens and sniping Cadaver Bears. Time will tell how often we will see KFC in the spotlight.
