When a mother can no longer protect her child from the brutality of war, she hides him in the only safe place she has left, the pages of a magical storybook. There, the boy meets other children whose mothers, across war-torn nations, have sent them into the same enchanted refuge in a desperate attempt to save them. But as time passes, the boundary between the real world and the story begins to fracture, allowing danger to seep into the book. War breaches the very realm meant to keep it away. With nowhere left to escape, the children must confront the creature born from war itself, armed only with the one force it can never conquer: their dreams. حين تعجز أمٌ عن حماية طفلها من الحرب، تخبّئه داخل كتابٍ خيالي. وفي صفحات ذلك العالم، يلتقي الطفل بأطفالٍ آخرين أرسلتهم أمهاتهم من بلدانٍ مزّقتها الحروب، إلى هذا الملجأ السحري طلبًا للنجاة. ومع مرور الوقت، يبدأ العالمان بالتقاطع، ويتسرّب الخطر إلى الكتاب، فتتجاوز الحرب حدوده الخيالية. ولا يبقى أمام الأطفال إلا مواجهة وحش الحرب مستندين إلى القوة الوحيدة التي لا تُقهَر… أحلامهم.
