Ruby Sparkles! 2 cups all purpose flour 1/4 tsp salt 1 cup butter 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 tsp almond extract 6 oz semi sweet chocolate chips 1tsp vanilla Directions: Preheat oven to 325°F. Sift together flour and salt. Cream butter with sugar until fluffy, then beat in vanilla and almond extract. Stir in the flour mixture half at a time until a dough forms. Take small portions of dough, flatten into a disc, place 3 chocolate chips in the center, then roll into a ball. Dip the top portion in colored sugar and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 25 minutes, let cool slightly, and enjoy. Snickerdoodle! 1 cup Unsalted Butter (softened) 1 1/2 cups Sugar 2 large Eggs 2 teaspoons Vanilla 2 3/4 cup Flour 1 1/2 teaspoon Cream of Tartar (for less tang, use 1 teaspoon) 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda 3/4 teaspoon Salt Directions: Preheat oven to 350°F.
