Stating that Goa’s economy is heavily dependent on tourism, Transport Minister and Dabolim MLA Mauvin Godinho said that taxi operators alone should not be blamed for overcharging issues in the state. Speaking at Goa International Airport, he said that overpricing is also seen in airlines, hotels and some restaurants.Godinho alleged that certain hotels maintain two menu cards—one for tourists and another for locals—which damages Goa’s reputation.
