From the Pacific coast... to the Volcanic North... and all the way down to the Frosted South, Welcome to Russia's Grizzly Coast... Today we’ll begin our tours after following the decorative pathway from the entrance to the Russia’s Grizzly Coast. After 2 years in the making this 24 million dollar exhibit opened in 2008. The Grizzly Coast sits on roughly 3 acers and takes guests through Russia’s vast wild landscape. Back when it opened the Russia’s Grizzly Coast opened to continue the zoo’s mission to connect people, animals, and the natural world. Not only that but this exhibit raises a sense of awareness about the environment and the animals living in Russia’s Far East.
