In Part 6, I paddle and portage into the wild rice beds of the Little Savant River. Typical rocky boreal forest landscape in the headwaters of a small and swampy system that is idea for growing wild rice. I camp in a traditional rice camp location and show the remains of an old rice harvester. An archival photo at time 8:50 shows what the harvester would have looked like in the old days.
