Hiking a 1,000 Year old Road on Paros, Greece

The Byzantine Road on Paros island is over 1,000 years old! The marble stone road is well preserved between Lefkes and Prodromos, while some sections of the route are a trail. The countryside is beautiful, with the road leading past a Byzantine church (Agia Triada), through olive groves, and over hills for views of the sea. And yes, we found a cat or two! Oh, and the butterfly was an Old World Swallowtail. The hike took a little over an hour, even with frequent photography stops. Actually, the longest part of the day was waiting for the local bus after the end of the walk, so allow some extra time for that.
