0:00 Shiny Encounters 32:50 5th Gym Battle 41:48 6th Gym Battle 48:11 7th Gym Battle 53:10 Cyrus + Girantina 1:03:27 8th Gym 1:10:00 Top 4 + Champ 1:28:55 Marky Rematch 1:33:41 Elite 4 with Psychic Pokemon 2:00:35 24 Battle Marathon I started this back in october and I didn't expect to ever fully beat this. I only included a few achievements, because for a lot of stuff I either don't have a video or it's just too repetitive, but most things can be found on my archive channel,. where I upload some full streams. My plan was to play this offline from time to time whenever I have nothing else to do, but I decided to start a little sheet to document some progress: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1R... However I lost motivation adding everything there, so there were no updates anymore for the final few weeks. Anyway I got way too addicted to this game to only play it rarely, so I did a couple really big streams and also just played it all the time whenever I wasn't streaming. Even the main story gave me a lot of trouble, but eventually I got through it. Once I cleared all post game content the real grind could start. While this game has a lot of improvements for catching pokemon, like catching a munchlax is not grinding a 1% chance on 4 random trees anymore and you also don't have to wait 6h for a pokemon to appear on a honey tree, catching all 493 pokemon was a massive task. Getting all berries was obviously not as bad as that, but still a way longer grind than I expected it to be. The real struggle started when doing the fight achievements. You have to build an own team for every single type there is and do a rematch why gym leaders. As well as beating the elite 4 + champ with a bug, ground, fire, psychic, fairy and legendary team, which being on set mode, no items during battles and a level cap. You have no idea just how long it takes to plan out, make and level up like 20 different teams. After 100s of hours I got to the big final achievement. Do the 24 battle marathon with no items in battle, set mode and level cap at 89 and on top of that you get only healed every 3 battles. I tried a while ago already and I thought with states I could luck through, but absolutely no chance, which took any motivation that I could ever finish this set. Now I did 2 playthroughs with higher leveled pokemon and with states to test out everything. I made a 5 pages long document about strats and potential backups on each fight, but no matter how much you prepare the game can always throw a bunch of bs at you, which makes winning just impossible. Like at 2:21:44 I did it exactly like in practice, but for some reason the encore stopped working after 4 instead of 5 turns. I still have no idea how that's possible, but I was sure it's over after losing alakazam, since I also needed it for the next battle, but somehow I clutched it out. Since I had to use garchomp way more than intended, it ended up being level 89 at the end, which is exactly the level cap. Overleveling is certainly something that can become pretty dangerous with so many fights. Somehow I ended with all 6 pokemon alive, since I got a burn on raquaza, so I survived an earthquake. Also you might have noticed there is no audio in this video. For some reason avidemux mutes the audio and I have no idea why and with shotcut it doesn't me save the video. I tried a couple different things, but it just wouldn't work - https://gyazo.com/c5b775f995e989f60b2... I always ran out of disc space, so I tried to only save the shiny encounters, which are around 30 minutes. I deleted all unnecessary stuff from my pc, so I have around 70GB left and somehow that 30 min video takes more than 70GB, which I've never seen. Other videos that are nearly 8h long are not even 7GB, so I have absolutely no idea what causes this.
