https://www.speedrun.com/timecrisis/r... Another one credit playthrough, this time of the Special Mission included on the PlayStation port of Time Crisis. This time was achieved with the NTSC-U version of the game. I don't think this mode is particularly difficult, but doing it efficiently is a different story. I can't count the number of times a particular enemy would take two seconds slower to appear for no real reason. The next worst thing was getting a good Web Spinner. I remember when I was younger and playing the PAL version, I was able to shoot at him whenever he spawned. Unfortunately, he's too fast in NTSC for me to manage that consistently. There is a pattern to his spawns, but it seems that on certain phases he just picks whatever side of the screen he wants. That aside, I really enjoy the Special Mission - the different routes, the music, the atmosphere... it's all lovely. However, I'd like to rant about something: what's the deal with the calibration in this game? In Project Titan, I am able to shoot accurately throughout the entirety of the game, but there's just something off here. Anything you shoot near the middle you'll generally hit, but I've found that I'll often miss targets to the left and right sides. This got me suspicious and I checked out the calibration screen, and the cursor always, without fail, drifts away from where it should be when pointed closer to the edge. I'd love TC1 a lot more if this weren't a thing.
