Figure Note: Stop-Motion Transformation of Hasbro MPM-12 Movie Masterpiece Optimus Prime. It has some compromises and inaccuracies, but it has a very pleasant transformation. Mine didn’t manage to come with a manual. The Toyworld version is better in many regards, especially when it comes to nailing the movie look of the figure, but it sure is a chore to transform. I’ll give Hasbro points for actually doing something with the feet in alt mode. The wheels are a bit small in alt mode and the “cat ears” above the cab are annoying - seriously, Hasbro? Sheesh. Support Note: If you’re watching this on YouTube, you could have seen it last week at Locals.com! Come support me there: https://peolesdru.locals.com Truck to Robot: 0:09 Robot to Truck: 1:07 Speed run to Robot: 2:05 Speed run to Truck: 2:24 2x Run: 2:43 End credits: 3:02 Production Note: I was watching the edit for the last time before picking music when the damned program crashed. And the last save was WAYYYY back. So I edited the damned thing twice, essentially. Fun. But wait there’s more! THEN my computer itself crashed and rebooted (but now at least I was saving manually quite often) and THEN I had to wait for Microsoft (who actually own the computer I paid for and get to make these decisions for me) to complete a Windows update. Viewing Note: If you want to follow along, I recommend skipping to the speed run and using your , and . keyboard keys to advance by single frames. Every step of the transformation is documented in the frames of the video, in what I consider to be the best sequence. With minimal rubbing and minimal parts-parking. Music: The music is by Ethan Meixsell - www.ethanmeixsell.com Songs: “Sea of Sand” and “Start Your Engines”
