There is no history or tradition of rhythmic gymnastics at Anderson Secondary School, nor offering it as a CCA. Despite this, the school still managed to groom a national champion. Indrajit Singh, HOD of PE & CCA in the school says that when Kah Mun came to them four years ago they had no idea that she was actually very talented in gymnastics. When she asked if she could do gymnastics as a CCA, the school rejected her request. Kah Mun has improved dramatically since. Her choice of going to Anderson Secondary School was a surprise. She had initially joined the Chinese Dance CCA and found it enjoyable, but she found that rhythmic gymnastics was her true calling. She did both Chinese dance and rhythmic gymnastics at the same time and found it to be manageable. After the school found her to be very committed to rhythmic gymnastics, they decided to support her by allowing her to take gymnastics as a CCA. One of her teachers, Suhaidah Bte Mohd Yusof, even took it upon herself to manage Kah Mun's competition schedules, so that she could focus on her sport.
