Akai GX-370D. Condition is Used. EBAY LINK TO PURCHASE: Tested and believed to be working, all buttons trigger, playback is audible and an audio signal is captured, recording, pausing reverse, fast forward and play all work but the item needs, in my opinion, a service and either a solenoid or transistor as the only fault we have found is when engaging play the rubber drive wheel does not engage therefore not pulling the tape through when on play or rewind. It would be well worth your while spending 5 minutes watching a video I short running through the whole machine and the minor issue with the rubber drive wheel. YouTube video:    • Akai GX-370D For Sale [EBAY LISTING IN DES...   You will notice when demonstrating the drive wheel fault that the tape pre-tensioner has been held in place temporarily as there was no tape on the spools, there is no fault with this as described the only fault we have found is the rubber drive wheel. This Akai was bought for my son, our intention was to put a new solenoid or transistor in to enable the play wheel to engage and have a service of the belts and a clean, we've been quoted £100 for someone to do this but, we decided against it as this will be going into his recording studio he has said the compute-o-matic function is not what he's looking for as, although this technology of automatic gain levelling was way ahead of its time, he would prefer to intentionally distort the signal to give the vintage effect (Again, not an issue with the device, just something not desirable for my sons use.) This item will be dispatched by a quality courier and securely double packaged.
