To An Irish Lake - Ken Warner (1902–1988) "To An Irish Lake" is a light orchestral music piece composed by Ken Warner (full name: Onslow Boyden Waldo Warner), published in 1946 by The Peter Maurice Music Co. Ltd. in London. It is an evocative, pastoral orchestral work in a gentle, impressionistic style evoking Irish landscapes (common in light music of the 1940s, with Celtic influences). Ken Warner was known for light music, dance band arrangements pre-WWII, and library music contributions during and after his BBC tenure (1940–1959). Ken Warner was the son of the more prominent English composer and violist Harry Waldo Warner (1874–1945). He studied at the Guildhall School of Music, performed as a dance band musician (saxophone and violin) with groups like Peter Yorke and Fred Hartley, and worked extensively at the BBC from 1940 to 1959 as a performer, arranger, and composer of light music and library music. He retired in 1959. Music Notation - Sibelius 7.1 Sounds - Noteperformer 5.2 Audio Mastering - Bandlab Produced with CyberLink PowerDirector 365
