In summer the large Leerfish and the ravenous bluefish share the same coastal habitats but being able to fish them both with the same rod seems like a mission impossible! The Leerfish, known for its keen eyesight and wariness of the bite, is not easily fooled if there is a steel cable on the leader (for the Leerfish a fluorocarbon line would be necessary). On the other hand, fishing in these habitats without a steel cable in an environment where the food can also come from bluefish, we would face certain breakage of the leader (cut by the teeth of the bluefish which are capable of cutting nylon threads without problems and FC also of 0.70/0.80 mm). However, there is a new method of constructing the terminal line which is capable of being quite invisible to the eyes of the Leccia Amia and, at the same time, transforming after the strike into a super-reinforced fishing system... impossible to sever even from the largest of bluefish !
