Emulation: MAME Game Artwork: Hydef (This is not playable on any official Nintendo platform. Although a simulation of this game does exist.) No, this isn't like the NES/Famicom version. This has very different gameplay from that. I will explain each level individually. Note: X = World Number X-1(Canyon): A series of randomly generated platforms. X-2(Gym): A series of pattern based platforms that seem to make plus signs. X-3(Burning Room): A non-scrolling stage where you have to avoid firebars and get to the princess within a set time limit. X-4(Channel): The first area where the up-down buttons are used. Careful not to get crushed. X-5(Hop): Like X-1, but with vertical walls added into the mix. X-6(Beam):A time limit stage like X-3, where you have to jump on moving platforms to get over the wall without falling in the pit. X-7(Maze): A pattern based stage similar to X-2, but there is a choose a hole at the end by pressing down. (The first one is the correct one as far as I know.) X-8(Burning Road): Avoid firebars and move from the left side to the right, after which the screen scrolls and you have to repeat the process until the distance is 0. Completing this sends you back to X-1 (But you would be one world Up If Mario is hit by a Bullet Bill (appears after completing L1), hit by a hammer dropped by Lakitu (appears after completing L2), touched by a firebar, squashed at the left side of the screen by a vertical wall, falling off the bottom of the screen, and out of time in a timer screen, then he will lose a life. An extra life is gained when a certain distance is reached (ex: L1-1/2/7 = 19-10 distance) and you hit the top platform on the middle of the screen, if you clear X-8, and for every 1,000 points.
