This course from Bar-Ilan University presents physicians, and others interested in digital health, with an overview of the data revolution in medicine within the framework of a single course. These are not regular times, and people all over the world, especially from the medical profession are facing major challenges. The current COVID-19 crisis brought the fields of genomics and biomedical informatics into the spotlight. We hope that this course will enable you to understand the basic concepts and tools that scientists and physicians all over the world are employing in fighting this new disease as well as studying many other diseases and health conditions. The course is comprised of nine units delivered by a panel of lecturers. It is an Instructor-led course. The units will be uploaded on a weekly basis starting from April 27th, 2020. Each unit (excluding the first unit, which is introductory in nature) will include, in addition to video presentations, short quizzes, hands-on practice sessions, and homework assignments. We estimate the time that you will have to devote to the course is about three hours per week. We advise you to follow the units as they are released each week. However, the assignments may be submitted at any time until the end of the course on July 27th, 2020.
