The Northern Territory has recorded 9 new cases of COVID-19 overnight. NT Chief Minister Michael Gunner said all the new cases are Aboriginal people and household contacts of the two cases confirmed yesterday. One of them, a 65-year-old woman, has been admitted to Royal Darwin Hospital. The others range in age from 71 to two 5-year-old twin girls. The lockdown order for Katherine has been extended until next Monday. A mask mandate has been announced for all the NT until Monday. It comes after two COVID cases were recorded yesterday - including the first in a remote NT community. The announcement sent greater Katherine and the Robinson River community into lockdown.
