RGP Chief Alleges Fraud in Thivim Panchayat, Demands Mega Project Be Scrapped

Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) chief Manoj Parab on alleged serious irregularities in the functioning of the Thivim panchayat, claiming that it is effectively being controlled by former MLA Kiran Kandolkar and not the BJP. Addressing the media, Parab accused the panchayat secretary and members of granting permission to a mega project without carrying out a mandatory site inspection. He alleged that due process was bypassed and termed the approval as fraudulent. Parab demanded that the permission granted to the project be immediately revoked and the work halted until a proper inquiry is conducted.
