There's some real concern out there today that your existing smart home products will be ruined by the end of 2021, as the CHIP standard begins certifying its first devices. This new protocol could override Zigbee, Z-Wave, WiFi, Thread, and others. Plus, it's possible that your existing smart home won't work with the new CHIP products, so we need to be clear what will and what won't continue to work (and work together).
