British actor David Frankham and his care-man Jonathan talks about how Sir Alec Guinness got him into acting. David talks about his role in Disney’s 101 Dalmatians animated classic film. He also mentions his time on radio and how he served in Malaysia and India during the global war. David Frankham, originally from Kent, England, became a radio voice, before going into acting. David acted with the likes of British actors such as Alec Guinness, George Sanders, Tom Conway, Frederick Worlock, J. Pat O'Malley, Lisa Davis, Ben Wright, and a lot of the cast members in 101 Dalmatians. He also admitted to having previously worked with and also losing a role in a film to the Australian actor, Rod Taylor - the voice of Pongo - acknowledging that Rod did a good job in his role. David eventually moved to Los Angeles to perform in films and voice-over roles. He was cast on a Star Trek production, and moved back-and-forth between England and the United States. Eventually, he began working with Disney on some productions - live-action and voice-over - and secured the role as Sergeant Tibbs and the Terrier in 101 Dalmatians. The movie was a big hit, but David did not see the film until the 1980s when he watched it with youngsters. He was not impressed, but slightly amused when he found out that Disney's opening credits addressed him as "Dave Frankham," and was surprised to see a lot of his British acting friends were in roles in the classic Disney animation film. David later retired and, while staying healthy, wrote and published his first book titled, "Which One is David?", which you can find on Amazon. He also attended conventions, and later met the voice actress of Lucky by chance. At 98 1/2 years old, David is the oldest guest in the history of R&U.
