In this video I show someone who never took the exhaust housing off a turbo how easy it is to do it. There are many reasons to play around with a exhaust housing change. If you feel your car is not pulling how high in the rpm's that you feel it should. The example I use in the video is a combo is running out of steam at 5500rpms and his desired shift point is just above 6000 rpms then a exhaust housing change to a size bigger would help out as long as the other parts of the motor are also going to allow that 6000rpm shift point. Ex. cam, intake, rev limiter. On the flip side you might want to bring down the shift point to get a better low end spool up on lets say a stockish mustang with a 70mm turbo with a .81 exhaust housing. Dropping to a .68 exhaust housing would help you get that lower end spool up! Popular T4 exhaust housing sizes are .68, .81, and .96
