Caradon Hill in Cornwall is home to a number of abandoned mines such as South Caradon Copper Mine. Many of the old mine shafts here are plugged with dumped scrap cable – including one particular inclined shaft, known as Pearce’s shaft. In this video, we look for this shaft below ground at the 10 fathom level above adit. We also follow this level west to see if it leads anywhere. This mine is proper gnarly and unforgiving in places, so it goes without saying, please keep out. Stay safe and all that jazz.
